Dear Parent

Your child has registered for Queens Basketball Summer Camp 1st-5th July in Queens Sport (PEC)

The camp starts promptly each day at 10.00 and all campers meet in the main sports hall

Campers leave bags & lunches in a space on the balcony overlooking the main hall, as they come in each morning - we suggest that they bring as little extra clothing as possible as it is likely to be left behind.

Players wear shorts and T-shirt with sturdy trainers ( it will be very warm)

No jewellery or watches to be worn please so leave those also at home.

Long hair must be tied back.

Bring a healthy lunch, snacks and lots of water ( I mean at least 2 litres!)  No fizzy drinks permitted

Each camper needs own basketball each day  with name clearly marked on it

Basketball sizes - All  P3-P7 - size 5

All year 8 - size 6 (plus older girls)

Boys Year 9 upwards - size 7

The centre is used by other members  so all campers must remain in main or minor hall with their group and use the toilets overlooking the pool area. No player permitted to go down to the cafe

The younger children must remain in the sports halls until collected by an adult at 16.00 sharp

Parents/grandparents/older siblings are very welcome to come down from 13.30 onwards to watch the league games from the balconies - always good fun!

On Friday afternoon, all the finals take place in the main hall - skills, hotshots & league games , plus the camp dance and the presentations to winners & should be finished by 16.00.  Spectators are welcome to watch from the balcony'

Please inform the coach if your child is leaving the camp earlier during the day or arriving late or finishing days earlier to go on holiday .

Any niggly injuries or feeling unwell inform Wendy or Mary who are onsite

We look forward to meeting all the campers on Mon 3 July 09.50 in main sports hall

Thanks

Mary Matthews
